Call 811 anytime for help finding your way through the healthcare system

CALGARY – Whether you need help finding a doctor, getting care in your community or finding your immunization records, Albertans can turn to Health Link to get health information, referrals or advice about accessing healthcare services.

While Health Link is known as a trusted resource for 24/7 health advice from professional nurses, the service can also assist Albertans with many common healthcare navigation queries, including:

  • Information requests about required travel immunizations or childhood immunization records.
  • Addictions and mental health information or referrals.
  • Advice and referrals for dementia patients and their families/caregivers.
  • Finding a family doctor.
  • Locating community-based care, such as home care.
  • Any other information requests that will help you access the healthcare you need.

Call 811 to ask any healthcare-related questions you have, and Health Link staff will help guide you to the right care provider, at the right time, in the right place. Health Link operates 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
