AHS presentation offers tips to create stronger families

MEDICINE HAT — Family resiliency is your family’s ability to cope with life’s challenges and to bounce forward from difficult times.

Alberta Health Services’ Addiction and Mental Health team is offering a parent information session on how to enhance your family’s sense of togetherness and make your family stronger. The presentation takes place March 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Honor Currie Room at the Medicine Hat Public Library.

Learn about protective factors and risk factors as well as what to have in place to help prevent addiction and mental health struggles. Leave with practical strategies you can implement to strengthen your family bond. This session is designed for parents and caregivers of children of any age. For more information, call 403-529-3582.
