This toolkit is designed for use as a resource for spit tobacco education. It provides topics and brief activities that can be included at team building events, regular practices or at team meetings. It will help coaches or other adult leaders of youth groups open up discussion and work on solutions for preventing or quitting spit tobacco use among youth.
The manual is designed for anyone to use. Knowledge and expertise on the topic of spit tobacco are not required. Each module contains goals, objectives, background information for the facilitator/ coach to help them teach, answer questions and conduct the activity, a brief interactive activity, participant/ player handouts and evaluation forms. Although the modules are numbered they need not be presented in order.
