Vascular Surgery - Inpatient

Provides surgery to treat vein and artery problems. Active participant in Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program. Active participant in the smoking cessation after surgery program.

Offers surgery to treat vein and artery problems, including:

  • carotid endarterctomies (taking plaque out of carotid arteries)
  • open and endovascular repair of the aorta-ilio-femoral arteries
  • distal vascular bypasses (femoral to tibial)
  • ischemic leg surgery
  • embolectomies (taking out blood clots)
  • dialysis access surgery
  • venous surgery

The program also has an Intermediate Care Unit where patients, requiring more care than can be provided on the regular inpatient unit, will be admitted post-operatively.
