Pediatric Dermatology Clinic

Provides consults for pediatric skin conditions.

This service provides consultation for pediatric skin conditions that are of concern or have not responded to treatment. Doctors or health care professionals can refer for additional investigation, diagnosis, and/or treatment.

Conditions diagnosed and treated:

  • skin lesions not yet diagnosed
  • vascular anomalies (coordinated care with the Vascular Lesions Clinic)
  • nevi / moles
  • dermatitis
  • pigmentation disorders
  • hair / nail abnormalities
  • complicated acne
  • genodermatoses
  • autoimmune disorders
  • urticaria and related syndromes
  • infections
  • tumors / nodules

Hours of operation for:
The Dermatology clinic: Monday 9:00am-12:00pm; Tuesday 8:15am-4:00pm; Thursday 8:30am-12:00pm.
The Dermatology Clinic operates out of the Pediatric Infectious Disease Clinic at the Alberta Childrens Hospital: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:15pm; Weekends: 8:00am-4:15pm.
Referrals are accepted every weekday.

Eligibility

All patients up to 18 years of age. Rare exceptions may be considered if the patient is already being seen at Alberta Children's Hospital.
