Pediatric Emergency Seizure Clinic

Provides assessment, treatment, and education for children with new onset seizures.

This clinic sees children who come to the Emergency Department because:

  • they've had a seizure for the first time
  • they've had a febrile seizure (a seizure related to fever)
  • they have new onset epilepsy

Eligibility

Children comming to the emergency room with:

  • first time seizure
  • febrile seizure
  • new diagnosis of epilepsy
Service Access

Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.

Access to the clinic is via referral from emergency.
